PLASTIC INJECTION MOULDING

Glentronics' plastic injection moulding facilities provide customers with access to a vertically integrated manufacturing service for products comprising electronic sub-assemblies, plastic moulded enclosures and components.

Glentronics offer a total solution for customers looking for a manufacturer who can provide a full service, from the design and manufacture of new tooling, modification of existing tooling, culminating in the supply of quality mouldings or assemblies to the customers requirements replicated for the life of the contract.

Capabilities

An extensive range of modern full specification Sandretto and Arburg moulding machines, with capacity from 25 to 400 tonnes, enable us to produce moulded parts requiring shot sizes from 2gm. to 1200gm. All of Glentronics' Moulding machines are incorporated in fully automated cells comprising of robotic extraction, closed loop material handling and where appropriate integrated cellular assembly stations. The capabilities for two colour moulding up to 56g (Polystyrene) shot weight are also available.

We take full responsibility for the design and manufacture of new tooling projects and the supply of components approved to customers design specifications. If required each tool can be supplied with complete component measurements against detailed customer drawings and the moulding process verified by capability studies.

Tool servicing, repair and modification are undertaken in a fully equipped in-house tool room, with each tool possessing a comprehensive tool history file. A fully equipped quality laboratory is available for first-off samples, last-off samples and SPC analysis. The laboratory has computerised measuring equipment, colour influencing equipment and a full range of prototype measuring equipment. We also offer design and manufacture capability for low cost tooling and component supply.
